In April 69, Joker gunship 043 lost power on take-off from Ban Me Thuot and crashed into a school building. 

Ed Monhollen, Aircraft Commander and Gun Team Lead, was badly injured. This ended his tour as he was med-evac'd out.

"Louie" Lewis was also injured.  He returned to Ninh Hoa some time later sporting a broken arm. 

Note the peace symbol hanging on the rocket sight --- the interpretation is thought to be either "Kill For Peace" or "I Want A Piece"
